Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) bietet viele Möglichkeiten, mit Lernmaterialien zu interagieren. Dabei ist es wichtig, dass diese zielgerichtet eingesetzt werden, um Lernende nicht zu überlasten, jedoch relevante Verarbeitungsprozesse anzuregen. Unterschiedliche Repräsentationsformen selbst extern zuzuordnen (Aktives Integrieren) kann relevante Organisations- und Integrationsprozesse anregen und wird hier auf eine AR-Lernanwendung übertragen, die virtuelle und reale Komponenten verknüpft. In einem experimentellen Vergleich zu einer vorintegrierten Version (N = 94), werden Variablen zur kognitiven Belastung, Aufgabenbelastung und dem Lernerfolg erfasst. Die Hypothesen, dass das Aktive Integrieren zu höherem Germane Cognitive Load und besserem Lernerfolg führt, wurden nicht bestätigt und die deskriptiven Daten zeigten sogar einen gegenteiligen Unterschied. Auch die meisten weiteren Hypothesen mussten verworfen werden, da sich keine signifikanten Unterschiede zeigten. Nur die wahrgenommene Leistung war mit Aktivem Integrieren signifikant höher. In der explorativen Betrachtung von Bildschirmaufnahmen in der Lernphase zeigte sich, dass beim Aktiven Integrieren die virtuellen Elemente in der AR-Anwendung weniger stabil und insgesamt weniger häufig sichtbar waren. Die Ergebnisse werden hinsichtlich dieser Besonderheit und der hohen Komplexität bei der AR-Nutzung diskutiert, weitere Forschung und der Einsatz interaktiver AR in der Praxis werden empfohlen.
