Abstract

Educational Technology (Media Didactics | Mediendidaktik) research that deals with the integration and impact of digital media in educational contexts faces a number of significant challenges resulting from both its disciplinary diversity and its institutional and geographical localisation. These are discussed in the article on the basis of several key observations that paint a differentiated picture of the current situation. I would like to emphasise and expand on some of them.
