Abstract

The "Interdisciplinary Centre for Media Education and Media Research" (IZMM) at the Ludwigsburg University of Education organised a conference on "Self-productions with media as a subject of childhood and adolescence research" on 6/7 October 2000. This article outlines the topic and intention of this conference and gives an overview of the lectures on diaries, essayistic-aesthetic writing and speaking, children's drawings, graffiti as well as self-productions with video (focus). The concluding part summarises individual considerations and results of the conference.
